Dr. Kevin Shah

Kevin S. Shah, MD, FACC, FHFSA, is a quadruple board-certified cardiologist with expertise in advanced heart failure and transplant cardiology. He currently practices in Long Beach, CA as a heart failure cardiologist and Assistant Professor of Medicine at the University of California Irvine.

He previously worked at the University of Utah and held roles including Medical director of a CVICU and fellowship director for Heart Failure at University of Utah. He trained in California at UCSD, UCLA, and Cedars Sinai for Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Medicine, and Advanced Heart Failure (respectively).

He has won numerous awards including House Officer of the Year and JACC Parmley Young Author Achievement Award. He previously served as a podcast host for the Heart Failure Society of America Heart Failure Beat podcast, has published over fifty peer-reviewed research articles, and his academic interests include heart failure and reducing cardiovascular disease among South Asians. In his free time, Dr. Shah enjoys spending time with his family and consuming stand-up comedy.
